Mahogany Wall Clock
A period mahogany wall clock in about as bad a condition as is possible awaiting complete case restoration.
This image shows the carcase being cramped up across its width – all the joints are loose due to storage in previously damp conditions causing lifting veneer etc. This case really is needing alot of repair!
The clock case starting to come together now.
Fitted now with a new base section made up from old mahogany timbers and hand veneered
The finished case, completely restored. The dial surround is new also, having been turned up on a lathe.
